I have had Alopecia Areata since I was 10 years old. I am also a doctor working in the NHS and have a PhD in medical research.

I want to provide an honest account of my 27 year experience of navigating this autoimmune condition. I hope that this helps to educate, raise awareness, provide support, and normalise some of the surrounding psychosocial impacts of hair loss from the perspective of a young female with medical insight.
